If you’ve attended a cooking class or private event at The Chopping Block, you’ve likely had a taste of our famous Truffled Popcorn. We love to welcome our guests with this delicious treat made with Truffle & Salt! This gourmet finishing salt is made from black Italian shaved truffles. Now, we all know truffles are expensive, but a little of this salt goes a long way. In fact, most of our customers say their jars last 6-9 months depending on usage. Typically, a light dusting is all you need.

Truffled salt transforms potatoes, eggs, pasta, vegetables, fish, poultry and meats into exotic dishes. Mothers have told us they have gotten their children to eat their vegetables by using it. The Chopping Block’s Famous Truffled Popcorn

Truffle_Salt_PopcornYield: 4-6 servings as a snack
Active time: 5-8 minutes
Start to finish: 5-8 minutes

2 tablespoons grapeseed oil
1 cup popcorn kernels
3 tablespoons butter, melted
Truffle salt to taste

  1. Heat a large heavy pot over medium high heat. Add the grapeseed oil and popcorn kernels and stir.
  2. Cover with a lid and cook, shaking the pot occasionally, until the kernels begin to pop.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium low and continue to cook until the sound of the kernels popping slows down considerably.
  4. Remove from the heat, drizzle in the butter and toss well. Season with truffle salt to taste and serve.
