HubSpot INBOUND 2020
We can't be in Boston raising a drink this year in Club INBOUND, but INBOUND 2020 attendees will have a chance to get a taste of The Chopping Block in a special virtual cocktail class right before INBOUND Rocks. Cheers to learning how to make specialty cocktails you can enjoy during a comedy show!
Join us on Tuesday, September 22 at 6:15pm EST for a 15-minute cocktail class featuring our Spirits Expert Christophe Bakunas making two specialty drinks honoring the hometowns of our comedians for INBOUND Rocks, Fortune Feimster and Dulcé Sloan.
The Chopping Block is the country's premier recreational cooking school and private cooking event venue. We've been teaching people how to cook in Chicago for over 24 years and now, we're doing that internationally with our virtual classes and private events.
Our virtual cooking classes are educational, engaging, fun and filling! Choose your favorite format, either demonstration or hands-on Cook Along, and get 45 -75 minutes of personalized instruction from a professional chef. Cook in real-time with the chef or watch and cook at your own leisure later, ask questions during the live class and create a delicious meal in your own kitchen.
We focus on cooking techniques, using recipes as guides rather than rules, so that you leave each class more confident in the kitchen!
Fill out the form on this page to get your exclusive INBOUND discount on virtual or in-person classes at The Chopping Block in 2020. Then, check out our upcoming virtual classes to pick out a class!
Need a team building experience to keep your colleagues connected even though they are currently working apart? Food is the ultimate way to bridge gaps. Know someone getting married? Host a virtual rehearsal dinner and cook with the bride and groom-to-be. Need to recognize VIP clients, generous donors or hard-working employees? Celebrate with a fun meal together virtually. We can do it all and even more with our virtual private events!
If you've always wanted a professional chef to teach you how to cook or bake in your own kitchen, our new private virtual classes are your future! We are now offering one-on-one virtual sessions with our chefs. You pick the techniques you want to master and cook with our chef through Zoom, just as if you were in the same kitchen.
If you live in or near Chicago, visit our Lincoln Square location for in-person cooking, wine and cocktail classes. We have slowly and safely returned to hosting socially-distanced classes with our guests' and staff members' safety as our number one priority. View all of our in-person classes at Lincoln Square on our class calendar.
"The virtual Cook Along class was great. Chef Lisa was amazing! Class was well organized and hosted in a fun, friendly manner. Easy to follow instructions and great interactions and feedback from the chef. I have previously taken an in-person class and this is the next best thing! ~Suzanne
"I really enjoyed watching Chef Sara because I am the type of learner that needs to visually see to create something. Just reading a recipe does not work for me. Options were given if some of the ingredients were not good for any one of the students. My husband and I really wanted some of the finished chicken!" ~Andi
"I love the virtual classes! Both I have taken were informative, fun, and I learned something new during each class. The price of each of the classes was a great value. Thank you for a great diversion during virus times!" ~AJ
"The event was above and beyond our expectations as Chef Sara was a very engaging instructor and we received great feedback from our guests. While we certainly hope to physically back in their kitchen next year, the virtual iteration provided a great opportunity for people to join us who normally wouldn't and to host the event at a lower cost at a time where we need to be more financially conscious." ~Elena Dennis, Chicago Bar Foundation
"A huge thank you to The Chopping Block for such a fun virtual demo event. It was a great way to bring our community together at a time when we can feel so far apart." ~-Sarah Willis, University of Chicago
