A Fresh Look, a Better Experience: Meet the New Chopping Block Online

After eight months of planning, writing, and collaborating, The Chopping Block is thrilled to unveil our brand-new website, which officially launched this week. While the look and feel are new, this redesign is also a nod to our history: once again, we partnered with the talented team at Instrumental Group (formerly known as Revenue River), the same company that helped us launch our last site back in 2015.

I still remember those early days of building the first site — Mike Del Cuore, now Instrumental Group’s Sales Manager, and I would be on speakerphone on Saturdays for many months, each working on different sections of the site at the same time. This was long before Zoom became part of our daily lives! That site went on to win Instrumental Group their first HubSpot Impact Award and successfully supported The Chopping Block for nearly a decade.

This time around, the process was smoother, faster, and more strategic. With Instrumental Group’s expanded capabilities and HubSpot’s ever-evolving platform, we were able to build a modern, streamlined site that reflects who we are today and lays a foundation for the future.

  • Fresh, Modern Design: Clean visuals, engaging movement, and an improved layout create a more inviting experience. You’ll spot new fonts, colors, and a streamlined flow that make browsing effortless.

  • Class Calendar & Boot Camps: Our class calendar makes it easier than ever to find the classes you’re interested in. We have new, curated calendars so you can browse classes by your interests, whether that's Global Flavors, Level 1 Foundations, Level 2 Skill Builders, Most Loved, Grilling, or Healthy/Special Diet classes. Boot Camp pages have been revamped to highlight how these programs help home cooks level up their skills.

  • Showcasing Our Community: From chef spotlights and testimonials to our most recent Google reviews (we’re proud to have an average of 4.9 stars across more than 700 reviews!), the site feels personal, dynamic, and connected. Plus, our blog updates automatically with new posts so you never miss the latest cooking tips and stories.

  • Enhanced Private Events Page: Instead of scattered sections and multiple pages, you’ll now find all event details in one streamlined spot, complete with FAQs. Whether you’re planning a team building event, birthday party, or celebration “just because,” it’s never been easier to book.

  • More Resources for Home Cooks: Our former “Recipe of the Month” has blossomed into a full searchable recipe database featuring our favorite chef-tested recipes. You’ll also find brand-new downloadable guides and recipe collections — we’re launching with three, and more will be added periodically to keep you inspired in your home kitchen.

  • Mobile-Friendly Experience: Faster, cleaner, and easier to navigate wherever you are. Whether you’re checking a recipe at the grocery store or booking your next class on the go, the new site is designed to work seamlessly on mobile.
