Our Clients

PARTY

Hybrid Private Events

The Chopping Block is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our guests as we strive to get people cooking. The latest evolution of our private event experiences are hybrid events, which allow your guests to participate in-person or virtually for those who are unable to join us in Chicago.

Our state-of-the-art technology brings your remote guests right into our kitchens so that they can see and hear our chefs/instructors from the comfort of their own home. Meanwhile, the in-person guests participate in whatever type of experience is selected - from cooking to wine tastings to cocktail making. Virtual guests participate and interact via Zoom with in-person guests and the chef/instructor. This is a unique way to bring together your colleagues, friends or family members from all over for a fun, memorable event!

Choose from four different types of hybrid private event experiences:

Modern Spin on Classic Cocktails

With the help of our spirits expert you'll learn how to mix, shake and stir three classic cocktails so you can create your own delicious drinks at home. Additionally, you'll learn how to set up a bar with the essential bar tools and ingredients, the history of cocktails and punches and important bar lingo.

  • Each in-person guest will prepare Daiquiri, Gin Rickey Moderna and The Batanga.
  • Virtual guests can join in the cocktail preparation from home.

How to Bluff your Way through Wine

Why is one wine lemony and refreshing, while another is chewy and meaty? Join our sommelier as you learn the four simple variables that determine all wine flavors. We’ll also explore wine history, wine chemistry, food pairings and practice professional tasting techniques.

  • Each in-person guest will taste a variety of wines.
  • A list of varietals and regions will be provided for virtual guests to procure wines for the tasting.

Hear From Our Hybrid Event Clients:

"We learned some amazing cooking techniques from the chef that I will use in the kitchen for the rest of my life. The technology that The Chopping Block brings to these hybrid events is ground-breaking. It  allows those guests at home to be in the same room as the in-person attendees, and I felt like I wasn't missing a beat throughout the entire event. We will definitely be back again!"
