Pie & Tart Boot Camp

Making pies isn't as hard as you might think! Get tips from a pro on how to make tender, flaky crusts, wrap them around sweet and savory fillings, and bake them to golden perfection.

  • Perfect Pie Dough 
  • Blueberry-Lemon Hand Pies with Cream Cheese Dough 
  • Sweet Corn Quiche with Arugula, Sun-Dried Tomato and Parmesan Salad 
  • Individual Chocolate Chess Pies with Whipped Cream and Salted Caramel 
  • Individual Spiced Plum Galettes

    Skills Covered in Class Include:
  • Making and rolling out pie dough 
  • Making hot butter pastry and cream cheese pastry 
  • Preparing fruit fillings 
  • Making custards and caramel 
  • Working with spices 
  • Whipping cream 
  • Preparing glazes 

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
