Tom Hosier has over 25 years experience in the hospitality/retail industry. His career started in hotels working for Hyatt, Radisson and Holiday Inn. Tom moved into retail as General Manager at the prestigious art gallery, R.H. Love Galleries specializing in American art from the colonial period through the early 20th century. While managing the gallery, Tom had clients such as Oprah Winfrey, Goldie Hawn and President George W. Bush. After nearly 18 years, Tom decided it was time to pursue his dream of opening his own cafe, Thomas' Bakery Cafe in 2007. His cafe was located in the North Park neighborhood in Chicago which featured fresh baked goods and an array of gourmet sandwiches, soups and salads. After five years, Tom closed his cafe to take care of an ill family member. His love of cooking and strong retail sales/management led him to The Chopping Block, where his passion for our products shines through, especially Truffle Salt! Tom resides in Chicago with his partner Frank and their two Shih Tzu's, Juliette and Sandy.
