Travel and cooking are deeply intertwined. It has been accurately said that you must taste a culture to understand it. There is nowhere better to do this than Italy.
The Chopping Block is delighted to announce a special week of culinary and cultural discovery in Italy in partnership with boutique tour operator Onward Travel and author/sommelier, Viktorija Todorovska (who previously taught our wine classes). Last year’s tour sold out quickly, and we’re looking forward to our second annual Italian culinary immersion!
During Cook Like a Tuscan, October 19-26, 2019, our small group will stay at a beautiful stone villa in Panzano in Chianti. Grapevines and pomegranate trees come up almost to the doorstep and the charming town is a short walk away.
Explore regional Tuscan cooking and expand your culinary repertoire with four hands-on in-depth cooking courses. We’ve selected four outstanding chefs to guide us through the hands-on culinary program.

The Chopping Block’s Fall ‘18 group
We’ll visit Tuscany in autumn, the perfect time to enjoy deep red wines and bright green olive oil fresh from the press. Time in the kitchen is complemented by epicurean field trips, visits to medieval towns and gothic Siena, and opportunities to walk amongst the vines and views.
From our base in the heart of Chianti wine country, we’ll travel throughout the region and enjoy the local charms. Join The Chopping Block’s travel and food loving community for a once-in-a-lifetime culinary immersion in Tuscany.
Cook Like a Tuscan is perfect for any traveler who wants to spend time in Tuscan kitchens. You do not need culinary experience and you’ll leave with a great arsenal of Italian recipes. Couples, groups of friends, and solo travelers welcome. This tour is limited to 12 travelers only. Please contact Molly at Onward Travel at firstname.lastname@example.org or 845-293-2729 if you have questions or go ahead and register at the link below to reserve your spot. Happy travels!
